He began his career in external audits handling audit and compliance engagements for SMEs and mid-sized entities, parastatals and Listed Companies. In 2024, he joined Marais Mutasa Advisory (Pty) Ltd as an Accounting Supervisor, and following a demerger, he was retained by Autarky as Accounting Manager, leading the group finance function. Currently, Absalom oversees IFRS reporting for large multi-entity companies and directs statutory compliance, tax, and management reporting for SME and mid-market clients, leveraging technical expertise and leadership to drive accurate and compliant financial outcomes.
Bongi is a dedicated Business Development Specialist with extensive experience in administration, compliance, client relations, tender support and project coordination.
Bongi also brings nearly 15 years of experience with the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council, where she served in various roles including Receptionist/Administration Clerk, Customer Liaison Officer and Designated Agent. This experience strengthened her knowledge in stakeholder management, compliance monitoring, dispute support, member audits, council coordination, report writing and industry engagement.
